Where is the year going?

I guess I am still wondering when March came and went.  I seriously don't remember it.  Imagine my surprise when I looked at the calendar today and ready April 26th. I seriously need to start planning my daughters birthday party which is almost exactly one month away.  My husband and I were going over the weekends for the summer and we have only 2 that are not already planned out with wedding stuff, dance recitals, weekend trips,  It is totally ridiculous.  What ever happened to a leisurely Sunday sitting on the deck drinking tea/coffee and listening to the birds while the kids ride their bikes.  It's all rush rush rush until before I know it the leaves are changing and that white stuff that I REALLY dislike starts falling from the sky.  (If my husband would just agree to move down south I would not have such strong feelings for the white stuff but he would much rather relocate us to Alaska so where we are is kind of a compromise.)  Well I am off to get some sleep lots of erands to run on my one day off this week.  I have a bridal shower this weekend.  Next weekend we have a Birthday party on Friday,  My Husband's Great Grandmothers 95th birthday party on Saturday and then a baby shower on Sunday.  INSANE right I agree.  Goodnight all

Weekend just the Girls

It's Firday which in my world is really Monday.  Kind of sucks have to go back to work on the day everybody is looking forward to their weekend.  That is what happens when you work in the Hospitality business though.  My hubby is spending the weekend up at his parents camp/summer home up in VT with his father.  I can't wait to get to spend some time up there this weekend.  It really is like my relaxation spot.  sitting on the dock and relaxing in the sun.  This weekend it is just me and Gab's.  I think we may start the weekend watching all the American Idol's that I have DVR'd thus far and found no time to watch with a pint of Ben and Jerry's each.  I am also hoping to pick up my crochet hook and work on another baby hat that has been ordered as a photo prop for Infant photos.  I am just recently re-teaching myself how to crochet.  I haven't done it in years prefering to spend most of my time knitting or quilting/sewing.  But thanks the the Happy Hooker I am on my way and loving every minute of it.  Well it's off to the couch with my girl and some ice cream.  have a great night everyone.

First Time Blogging

I have never blogged before.  Figured it is something I may enjoy though so I decided to give it a shot.  Although I don't have a whole lot to say today.  All is quiet in the house with the kids at school and my husband at work.  I really should be putting away the laundry and washing the floors.  But everytime I head downstairs to accomplish something the Sunshine pulls me out onto the deck to enjoy it.  It is only the second real nice day of the spring season here in Western, MA.  I did take some time to hang the laundry out on the close line so now it will have that great fresh air smell.  I also took the time to walk around the yard and see all the daffadils popping up and it also looks like the tulip bulbs I planted last year are popping through (which is great news to me because my thumb is not even close to green if you could have seen my mini corns and carrots I grew (or didn't grow) last year you would laugh really my pinky toe was bigger than them.  I wasn't even sure which end of the tulip bulb was supposed to be right side up so I figured I had a fifty fifty shot and don't you know I totally guessed right.)  Okay I am off to finish my chores and enjoy this day.  My weekend ends today it's back to work in the AM.
